About

On the 5th of May 1933, a group of men who liked to hunt and fish, got together a created the Chambersburg Rod and Gun Club. In the beginning, they actually met up in an auto repair garage. In the 1946, they took over the current location and held meetings in an old barn until they raised enough money to build a clubhouse. Progressively growing over the years, our current membership is around 700 and we have open membership with no limit.

We’ve been involved in a number of events for various groups over the years, including:

  • Franklin County Fair each July
  • Boy Scouts Jamboree and merit badges
  • Antietam Junior Rifle Club
  • Special Olympics fundraiser
  • Wounded Warrior Project
  • Qualifiers for local law enforcement
  • Sheriff’s Association Shoot Out
  • Tractor Pullers Association
